Matthias Georg Kendlinger’s Enthusiasm for keyboard instruments was evident from a very early age. He began playing the accordion at the age of 5, and in 2014 he performed his first piano concerto. The concerto is dedicated to the woman he shares his life most closely with – his wife, Larissa.
The comsposition is characterized by modern, dance-like rhythms, with the piano providing a very concentrated and permanent presence right from the solo prelude. The music colorfully projects a diverse spectrum of the human condition: contemplation, sorrow, calm, anger and exuberance – energetic and grounded.
