»FAMILY MARCH« for brass band (score + conductor's score in C)

The basic melody, which Matthias Georg Kendlinger spontaneously coaxed from the recorder during a family vacation in Spain, motivated his children to join in their father's music-making. Dishes and household items became instruments that harmonized joyfully and exuberantly. This march is a sign of gratitude towards the family, appreciating the most important core of society. It sends a hopeful, confident signal, conveying joie de vivre and a relaxed festive mood.

In its symphonic version, the "Family March" finally premiered at the Konzerthaus Berlin on December 1, 2008.
